The prescribed business registration fee payable in respect of an application for company incorporation and business registration made in the period from 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017 will be reduced by a sum of HK$2,000.

The Revenue (Reduction of Business Registration Fees) Order 2013, which reduces the prescribed business registration fee by a sum of $2,000 at present, will expire on 1 April 2014. The new Companies Ordinance, Chapter 622 of the Laws of Hong Kong, ("the new Ordinance") and 12 pieces of subsidiary legislation commence operation in 3th March 2014.

 26 Feb 2014   2013-14Tax concessions and one-off measures:

(1) Increase the allowance for maintaining a dependent parent or grandparent;；
(2) Reduce salaries tax and tax under personal assessment for 2013-14 by 75%, subject to a ceiling of $10,000; and
(3) Waive rates for the first two quarters of 2014-15, subject to a ceiling of $1,500 per quarter.
